Organization pages & settings

What an organization's pages in Openbook hold — Home, Workspaces, Analytics, MCP, Chat logs and Settings — and what moved to the organization's page at your Vibeforce account.

An organization has two homes, and knowing which is which saves a lot of looking.

  • In Openbook, the organization's pages hold what is Openbook's own: its workspaces, the agents' activity across them, and what Openbook bills for.
  • At your Vibeforce account, the organization's page holds the organization itself: who is in it and in what role, its chat, its files and storage, and its AI. The same organization is shared by every Vibeforce product, so these live once, there, and every product reads them.

Members, Chat, Files, Storage and AI used to be pages in Openbook. They are gone from Openbook. Each one is now a page on the organization's own page at the Vibeforce account, which is the same in Openbook, Madebook and CodeBook. Old bookmarks to those Openbook pages no longer lead anywhere.

Getting to an organization

Signing in lands you on Organizations, a card per organization you belong to. Manage on a card opens that organization's pages. You can also switch organization at any time from the organization switcher at the bottom of the sidebar, which lists your organizations and ends with All organizations and New organization. The organization's pages in Openbook

On an organization's pages the sidebar opens with the OpenBook group:

  • Home — the organization's name (owners and admins rename it in place), a Members & access button that opens the organization at your Vibeforce account, the concierge, a count of workspaces and members, and the organization's workspaces as cards with a filter.
  • Workspaces — the organization's workspaces as cards, each with its description and whether it is visible to everyone or to certain people, a Filter workspaces… box, and Create a workspace. This is the list of workspaces now; there is no longer a page listing every workspace across all your organizations.
  • Analytics — agent sessions, runs, tokens used and topics, across every workspace. See the build agent.
  • MCP — organization-wide oversight of MCP servers. See MCP servers.
  • Chat logs — a record of every agent conversation in the organization.
  • Settings — the plan and the agent gates. See below.
  • Create a workspace — opens the same dialog as the header switcher. See Create your workspace.

Analytics, MCP and Chat logs are for the organization's owner and its admins. Everyday members work inside workspaces and rarely need these pages.

Settings: the plan and the agent gates

Openbook's Settings page for an organization holds exactly two things:

  • The plan — your current plan, your trial status if you are on one, the billable seat count, and the way to upgrade or manage billing. Any member can read it; upgrading and Manage billing are for the owner and admins. For plans and pricing, see Plans.
  • Agent gates — restrictions on each workspace's agent rooms, set by an owner or an admin. See Agent gates below.

Its header says the rest out loud: the organization's name, description, people, chat, files and AI are managed at your Vibeforce account, and it links there.

Settings is the last page in the sidebar's OpenBook group on an organization's pages, after Chat logs; only Create a workspace comes below it. You can also reach it from the Pro trial · N days left pill at the bottom of the sidebar while a trial runs, from Upgrade to Pro in an upgrade prompt, or at its address, /organizations/<id>/settings.

While Openbook runs in free mode, the plan card reads Everything is free right now instead, and there is nothing to upgrade.

Agent gates

Each of the organization's workspaces is listed, with Add a gate beside it. A gate has three settings:

  • Block agent teams — the workspace's agent rooms fall back to the single agent rather than the multi-agent team backend.
  • Judges at least — a minimum number of verification passes, 0 to 3, on every run in that workspace.
  • Max tokens/run — an upper bound, up to 10,000,000, on what one run may use. 0 means no ceiling.

Remove gate takes it away again. Gates only ever tighten what a room already allows — see AI usage & the token allowance.

The organization at your Vibeforce account

The Members & access button on the organization's Home opens its page at the Vibeforce account, in a new tab. That page has its own sidebar:

Any member can open these pages and read them. Changing them is for the organization's owner and admins, and each page says so where it applies.

Three parts of the organization still show inside Openbook, because they are useful where you work:

  • The chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of every page is the organization's chat. See Organization chat.
  • The storage meter under the organization's name, in the switcher at the bottom of the sidebar on the organization's pages, is the owner's storage allowance. See Storage and files.
  • The AI tokens meter at the foot of the account menu is the owner's token allowance. See AI usage & the token allowance.

Renaming, creating and deleting organizations

  • Rename from the organization's Home (click the name), or with Edit on its card on Organizations. Owners and admins can do this.
  • Create with New organization in the switcher at the bottom of the sidebar, or Create Organization on the Organizations page.
  • Delete with Delete on the organization's card. Only its owner can.
